News To Know... Queen City Art Club Exhibits at Twin Lakes Queen City Art Club returns to Twin Lakes for their first exhibit of the New Year. Melissa Godoy is a Media Artist working on a special documentary for the Ohio Arts Council. She is filming several groups of residents for the project and there will be a viewing of the completed documentary this spring. Melissa is an award winning artist whose documentary “Do Not Go Gently” won critical acclaim at 2007 film festivals. This documentary, narrated by Walter Cronkite explored the power of imagination in aging. For more information about this piece, visit www.donotgogently.com. Continuing Education Congratulations to Pam Austin, Twin Towers Interim Director of Health Services / Unit Manager on graduating from the 2009 Nurse Manager Development Program with AOPHA (The Advocate for Not-for-Profit Services for Older Ohioans). This intensive and unique program is designed to develop direct care leadership among professionals working with older adults. This is a wonderful success and we are proud of her accomplishment!!! Twin Lights, Camera, Action at Twin Towers! John Fleck from the Tri-State Warbird Museum in Amelia has been commissioned to create a documentary featuring World War II fighter pilots. Both Russ Witte and Don Brandt of Twin Towers are docents at the museum and will be featured in the documentary. Filming has begun on the campus and the documentary will be aired March 2010. |
